With the new build, I can connect to the 2nd radio, but have no access to the rest of the world (local LAN, internet, etc)..
Radio 1 still works just fine.

You need to reset to defaults.

OK, I have no doubt that I'm doing something wrong here... But even with the latest build and a full reset to factory defaults, I have no access to the outside world from the second radio.. It connects at 300Mbps, but has no DNS or access to anything beyond the router.
When I switch back to radio1 all works fine.... Confused

Thoughts?

what about CTF ?

The CTF driver is Broadcom proprietary code and is only delivered as a binary blob.
It is compiled for linux 2.4 so can't be used in K26.

Later maybe when a linux 2.6 compiled blob is available.

I would be interested to see if anyone finds a optimized way of setting the tcp congestion controls for this router with this new dd-wrt built (that is for high speed networks over 100mbit down/10 up).

Right now i choose the CUBIC method with 4096 max ports and 600/120 timeouts. Any ideas?

Nice stable build so far:

(DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/08/11) std-usb-nas - build 16745

I currently am using WL0 in NG mixed mode with 20Mhz Channel width and Auto Wireless channel.

I'm Getting 130mbps on Wireless N on WL0, not bad, but I remember getting 270mbps with e2000 DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/26/10) std-usb-nas-build 15508M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko build, with the same wireless configuration.

WL1 is at Only N, 5Ghz. Since none of my clients can see the 5Ghz range, that one is currently unused.

Thanks for the work guys

I have just unpacked my new E4200, uploaded build 16751M. On 2.4 wifi interface i am connected in Repeater mode to internet through another wifi router. Notebook i have connected to E4200 via ethernet cable. Router works properly, internet is working. What is not working is second 5 GHz wifi interface, this wifi is not visible, even if i configure it. I use same configuration, like on my another E3000, where everything works properly. On % GHz wifi i did not set any specialities, just SSID, WPA2 personal AES security, rest is default. Its not clear for me, if 5 GHz interface should work in this build already , or not yet.

It was not the same configuration. 270mbps link rate with 2 MIMO streams requires a 40MHz channel.

Applied this build (16751M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko) today. Now it doesn't broadcast 5Ghz WL network at all. Is there any way to enable logging in dd-wrt to see what exactly is going on and provide more info?

I got my E4200 two weeks ago and it has been stable and fast on the stock Linksys firmware 1.00.01 (Build 10)released March 7th

I flashed DD-WRT 16751 BIG about two hours ago. Running dual radios with clients up on both 2.4 and 5 ghz. DDNS test by VPN to office and Remote Desktop back through port forwarding to a wired machine on my local home network, WPA2-Personal AES, all stable. Will benchmark speeds, but so far so good!

Thanks Brainslayer and Eko...I will contribute again shortly.

Has anyone checked to see how fast 802.11n to WAN is? With my e3000 and dd-wrt I can only pass about 25-26 Mbps. If I sit my e4200 in there with the stock Linksys code with the same settings, I can get my full connection with Comcast of 62 Mbps Down and 10 Mbps Up to my wireless clients. GigEth to WAN on dd-wrt was fine...802.11n to WAN was just slow. Yes, I do use an uncongested 2.4GHz Ch. 11 with WPA2/AES.

BTW...thanks Eko/BrainSLayer/etc. for all the great work!

with 20 mhz you can never get 270 mbit transmission rate. you need 40 mhz for this.

300 mbit is maximum rate for 2x2 and 40 mhz
with 20 mhz its just 150 mbit

for 3x3 40 mhz = 450 mbit, 20 mhz = 216.7 mbit

by default its disabled. take a look at wireless basic settings and enable it. secondary, always reset the config after you upgraded from linksys firmware.

managed to fix it. Seems like my clients are quite sensitive at what setting I'm using. After setting it to specific channel and Mixed mode, it started working. My AGN6200 reports 300Mb which is the maximum I can achieve.
