Just a note on upgrading e2000, e3000 and e4200 routers already running dd-wrt. These need -nv60k.bin builds, but this will work only from now on. So for initial upgrade use proper mini-eXXXX.bin build and then upgrade with -nv60k.bin build.

I am just "assuming" this from watching trac and helping with the e1000 port.

There are still router specific builds for initial flash ex... E3000.bin..

After that, the builds for the routers that have 60k of nvram are now named -nv60k.bin.

So instead of the e2k~e3k builds, now they are named nv60k.

So far.. E2000, E3000, and the new E4200 will use these builds after the initial flash with the router specific build.

It is not necessary to flash a router specific build, then flash the same -nv60k build. They are the same build. Only diff is the header. The router specific build has a header in the bin to allow the stock oem firmware to accept it and flash it.

It also looks like there are now safe guards in the bin to prevent the flashing of an incorrect build based on nvram size to a device that does not support the nvram size so the router does not brick.. Not sure about this. Just what it looks like.

IT IS NECESSARY for start, because I added some protection against flashing wrong build. So -nv60k.bin build have special trailer now.

No... all builds have protection. I meant that now I'm doing only mini trailed builds, so if you want more than mini, use nv60k.bins
(This applies only to e2000, e3000 and e4200)!

I am getting the upgrade failed message when I try to flash dd-wrt.v24-16758_NEWD-2_K2.6_openvpn-nv60k.bin onto a E2000 currently running dd-wrt.v24-16454_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-e2k-e3k. Am I missing a step?

I came up with the same error message trying to upgrade from a big DD-WRT prior version. So I had to install the mini build first and then upgrade to the nv60k build.

NEWD_micro_plus_ssh.bin is now too large for the neutered models with a 128K CFE. (1,888,256 bytes)

I get "Upload Failed"

OK...after another hard reset and waiting for the CPU to settle down it took. My CPU load average may have been up in the 1.9 range the first time.

You must mean nohotspot_nostor build.

I can't run the K26 on my WNDR3300 unit...it has a 4704 processor.

After enabling wireless security and rebooting the router, router seems to freeze and lan client LEDs seem to just keep blinking. Pressing the reset button the router and restoring defaults fixes the issue. Anyone else experience this issue with this build?
