|
Hi
I've read through the wiki page and can't quite figure out what problem I have to be honest and was hoping somebody could help.
I received a WRT54G v1.0 from a friend today who hadn't used DD-WRT before or upgraded his firmware at all, I set the network up just fine through the Linksys setup CD and decided to upgrade to DD-WRT v23 SP2.
I downloaded dd-wrt.v23_generic.bin and flashed through the linksys web interface and it said 'upgrade successful' but it didn't go back to the main control page afterwards. My desktop now doesn't connect to the router or internet at all (I'm posting this connected directly to my cable modem). The strange thing is that I can connect to the DD-WRT control panel through wireless on my laptop, but whenever I click on any of the tabs such as 'setup' it asks me for username and password and I've tried username: root password: admin and it doesn't allow me access.
I've tried resetting the router and the cable modem a few times and tried running the Linksys setup wizard again but now it doesn't seem to work, when I get to step 3 (turn modem back on, connect to router and turn on etc) I get a 'limited or no connection' pop up, I've tried repairing the connection and that doesn't work either.
If anyone could help I'd appreciate it, thanks. |
