QOS - gnutella protocol to bulk priority
see the wiki for howto
I find that when one of my users is bringing the network down with torrent or something, verbal threats work better than QOS. Watch the log for limewire activity and threaten to cut the net. Or ask him to use it only overnight.
Is this working? I've been trying to get it to work and its blocked stuff like aim, but when get it to try to do bittorrent (either choose bittorrent or do "catch all") or gnutella (morpheus) it doesnt work. My torrents keeping flying through like nothing I'm using v24 RC6 on wrt54g v3
Ok. After alot of testing the v24 RC6 does block p2p traffic like its supposed to from the access restriction -> block services menu. The command above will do it also.

I think I have found a solution, but can't remember exactly how I did it from memory. I am at work now and can't tell how you at the moment, but I can figure it out when I get home. I reconfigured this one sororities' router to block Limewire after tons of experimenting, and so far it seems to have worked since I've stopped seeing the ports open up under uPNP.
