Is there anything out there that works with dd-wrt x86 that anyone can recommend based on personal experience?

From what I can tell, older Trendnet TEW-623PI cards used an Atheros chipset, which probably would work... but the v2 cards sold now appear to be using a Ralink RT2860...

Interestingly enough, I can't really find any PCI cards utilizing Atheros chipsets on the market right now. Looks like most things are Ralink or Broadcom...

Or do I just need to get a mini-PCI to PCI adapter card and then buy some kind of mini-PCI atheros 802.11n card?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations/thoughts.

Quick question, what about the mini pci-ex cards like.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JJPLUS-ER2-Minipci-express-802-11N-Highpower-Atheros-/190499564167?pt=UK_Computing_Networking_SM&hash=item2c5aa8aa87

Will they also work? Also will they work with an mini pci-ex to pci-ex adapter like this?

I have a Ubuntu server with a D-link DWA-522 that has a Atheros chip in it. I also have a few USB adapters laying around like Cisco AE2500(uses a BCM4326 chip) I cant find Broadcom Linux drivers for it for Ubuntu. I also have a SMC 2802w card that uses a isl3886 chip. Will the $26 version support it? I want to know if i spend money it will work. I love the thought of a wireless router with 1.4Ghz processor and MB of ram.
