anyone who wants a DD-WRT compile tutorial just vote for it please so that everyone will enjoy of the DD-WRT Compiling and have the latest build yaaaaay!!!
Interested in tutorial how to compile and replace some components. In particular udhcpc, I need patched version to request option 212 from ISP for rapid deployment.
If you have:
1. Download the source tree and the appropriate kernel, which does take a while,
2. Downloaded the appropriate toolchain
3. Appended the correct toolchain to your $PATH environment variable
You can build just the udhcpd package by typing make udhcpd from the ./src/router directory in the source tree.
This will give you a binary of the appropriate bits you need hidden somewhere in ./src/router/udhcpd.
You can then take the bits and use the firmware modification kit to replace the old binaries in the DD-WRT firmware directory tree.
I suspect, however, that the 212 feature/issue may not be as simple as a recompile, and there may be some kernel stuff too. I'm not as up to date on practical IPv6 implementations as I should be.
I know this may not help, but give it a go.
Maybe something on the cards for the developers ? As if they don't have enough already
