But I have another question- is this working on Windows 7?
I bought the adapter from eBay, put it into USB and Windows downloaded and installed the driver on its own. But I have read some kind of problems with W7 an TFTP.
Just use Windows 7's own TFTP client, which you enable in Programs --> Turn on/off windows features.
I have been running Windows 7 x64 for a long time, never had a problem with TFTP.
Do know when you like to debrick using a TFTP Server, youneed something like TFTPD32 server and unblock it in local Windows Firewall to allow incoming connections. _________________ It's all about bits and bytes!
I'm in a "I bricked my router club" too. I managed to bricked it after flashing from openwrt- tplink firmware through web interface. Now I'm looking for solution for unbricking my router and for this purpose I read all the posts.

Yep, it's pretty much the same one I got, same chipset same functionality.
You only need the GND, TX and RX pins from the TTL adapter to hook up to the router.
I still a few USB-TTL adapters on stock in The Netherlands. If interested, contact me for prizing and shipping. _________________ It's all about bits and bytes!

1. Download modified original firmware that has first 0x20200 cut off, or use firmware attached below.
Where's this file, please?

I´ve got a really weird problem with flashing over serial.
I did everything like the How-To says, but i just get cryptic symbols with putty. I also got an TTL adapter, but it wont work, and yes, i double and triple checked the baud-rate.
I´m really getting crazy about this. I want my router back

TTL-adapter works if it is a correct one and it is correctly connected.
Which TTL-adapter did you buy? _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
A friend gave me one with an prolific pl-2303hx chipset on it.
Greetings
Oh that tells me exactly what's wrong, those given by friends are bad ones and never works.
I guess its not much more to do than consider it an eternal brick. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
Well, i don´t hope so. Is there any reseller who´s residence is in germany? I´ll just buy another one.
I just saw, that the symbols are always the same. Due to this i guess, it´s really the bootloader which is showing up, but the Interface can´t connect well. Or is there anybody who´d revive my 1043 for a little fee if i send it to him/her?
