Edit: Sorry, I meant LAN Rolling Eyes

I just tested the standard version on WHR-G300N.

When 40MHz channel width is selected, the repeater bridge configuration cannot be saved or applied in the GUI. However, if I setup 40MHz channel width in AP mode save and apply it, then I can change the wireless mode to repeater bridge and save and apply. The repeater bridge WiFi throughput is slightly higher compared to 15778 that I was using earlier (yay).

So far so good, I will test long term and report if there is any instability.

Edit: I have deleted the RAM problem I have reported above to avoid confusion. I fixed that problem by flashing the Ralink SoC SDK again and reflashing DD-WRT with tftp method. I am not sure how it happened but Ralink SoC SDK created the problem.

With this build the LAN PORTS doesn't work. Tested with a DIR300-B1.I just downgrade for build 16454.

Useless build if LAN isn't working. I don't know what kind of developing is going on but with every build something is broken.

Another DIR615 D2 & D4 confirmed LAN ports totally dead after f/w upgrade, lights are out etc. WLAN still seems functional but I don't have a laptop handy so I'll have to borrow one in order to go back to old working f/w.

Did this upgrade last nite and most things worked except for port forwards.

It seems that now that all my port forwards require a source network range. No matter what I have tried, none work.

I have since reverted my Buffalo WHR-G300N back to v24sp2 build 14896 which seems to have been my most successful build.

Any ideas how to fix this?

LAN ports not working on DIR600-B1 either. WAN port is fine.

Strange how this build is still available on the FTP, you would have thought it would be removed seeing as it contains such a critical bug.

I've got a problem with a Senao ESR-9752, based on a Ralink SoC, configured as repeater-bridge and connected to an AP-router. In short, the bridging between WLAN and VLAN seems that is not working with build 16754. It was working with build 16214. I've checked from the linux command line the vlan1 and vlan2 configuration in nvram and the br0 configuration using brctl and everything seems to be correctly configured. I have updated the system keeping the NVRAM configuration (I have not reverted to factory defaults with re-configuration from scratch). Now with 16754 I can reach the senao device via wireless, but I can not reach any of the devices connected the wired LAN ports. A little bit of additional info in my post in the Senao devices forum: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=132591&sid=2077aafd4dbf4cd58eda323083a346f9.

Can this be another effect of the "LAN not working" issue? But it would be strange because I have checked dmesg and the kernel recognizes the plugging/unplugging of the ethernet cables so the hardware interfaces seem to be activated, but the bridging is not working. Here the output of the mii registers described in the ticket #2028 (they seem to be ok, the register 0 is not 0800):

Code:

root@DD-WRT:~# mii_mgr -g -p 1 -r 4
Get: phy[1].reg[4] = 05e1
root@DD-WRT:~# mii_mgr -g -p 1 -r 0
Get: phy[1].reg[0] = 3100

If additional info or research on the device config is needed I will be more than happy to cooperate.

BTW I have read all the wikis and searched the forums about repeater-bridging, bridging, vlans and I have found nothing that could explain why with this build it is not working anymore (I did my homework before posting).

Late news: browsing the changesets I've found the big changeset #16763 "config update to fix various ralink switch problems" so I think it's just a matter of being patient and wait the next build that should fix the switch problems.

And STILL it's available, I ended up re-uploading this dodgy firmware last night when attempting to cure the DDNS bug.

why is it still there? Has f/w release slowed down lately or is it just me ?

There are no new releases, but BrainSlayer has been working if one checks the trac.
