Blocking torrents is really very simple.

Block the trackers.
Stop access to the tracker you stop torrents dead, encrypted or not.
Trackers use web addresses like this -

hxxx://tracker1.tvtorrents.com/TrackerServlet/announce
hxxx://www.h33t.com:3310/announce

Simply add these 3 keywords to Access Restrictions/Website Blocking by Keyword

tracker
announce
d1:ad2

The last keyword blocks DHT torrents.
99% of trackers use one of them keywords.

6 of us share my inet connection so I set this on thoughout the day and off at night.
Works really well.
All the best.

Has anyone tried this?

I see post after post of 'I can't stop torrents' and yet not one response from anyone saying my way has worked for them.

Anyone?

Looks like some fantastic info. I'll try it ASAP, but theres a bunch of others using my router right now and I don't want to reboot it ATM. Will report back soon.

Seems to be a way around these three blocking words. Do you have any more ideas ? Yahoo.com returns 404 as expected.

I think I have an answer. utorrent remembers it's connections for a while so restart utorrent and also turn dht off/on.
If dht or pex connections are there they will start to make more connections. So for the keywords to work leave ut off for until all it's connections are dead.

Still no luck. I even upgraded to the same version of utorrent and rebooted both router and PC.
Within 20 seconds the torrent is rockin' and rollin'

Maybe my firmware is not blocking key words the same way yours does.
Mine only blocks keywords in the URL itself.
