I recently acquired my WZR-HP-AG300H and wanted it to get to work with the custom applet that Astrill.com had created for DD-WRT based routers. This took me over a week to get working as Astrill support was well not exactly very helpful to say the least. The service is actually very stable though and I wanted to contribute to save everyone else the future hassle hopefully.
For those interested, I have this Astrill DD-WRT applet installed on my WNDR3700V1 router with build 18024 and without the need to install any other software. The other most recent build on which you can install this applet is 17201 (or 17461 but that build was withdrawn a few hours after it saw daylight). It's not possible to install this applet on any available build after 17201 till 18024 without manual installation of Busybox. It seems that Busybox is broken on the builds between 17201 and 18024.
Note that I'm talking here about WNDR3700V1 builds. Maybe builds for other routers don't have the broken Busybox problems I encountered trying to get this applet working on my Netgear router.

Just wanted to confirm:
The Astrill VPN applet works fine on WZR-HP-AG300H with dd-wrt r18777 without any additional installation requirements. Just buy the correct service, install the applet (using the Commands method as described here: http://blog.astrill.com/index.php/2011/02/17/astrill-openvpn-on-dd-wrt-web-install/) and enjoy...
i have also installes the astrill applet on my WZR-HP-G300NH2 and it is runing pretty fine. But when the connection to Astrill is aktive i can not connect with my ipad to the router when i m on the move. when i disable astrill it works. do you know what i do wrong?

Hi All,
We got this running so that the VPN is at the router level
Internet
|
2wire modem-Router (supplied by the ISP and must be used)
|
Buffalo Router
|
Wireless access points
|
PC
Nice thing is that with the Astrill solution, you can have smart routing of content delivery based on the device name that is requesting it. So that we can have the Apple TV accessing netflix via tunneling on the VPN while a PC can get getting content at the local ISP level with no speed degradation.
Challenge now is to get the site filter working from Astrill. This will allow us to then specific IPs of certain sites such as netflix.com be router via the VPN while other sites such as yahoo.com.sg come through the local ISP.
It's not working now for some reason. We have spent hours trying to figure why. Anyone have any ideas? Can someone recommend a good IP trace routing software to use to see why the request is still going through the ISP when it should be going through the VPN?

the eval `wget... command just does not work for me. Any ideas why? Ive tried it on a Linksys E900 [with the mega build] and a TP-Link 1043nd [latest std build]
