Ok, thank you so far. Now i got everything. The TTL-Adapter is showing this code:

But it wont let me type in tpl and hit enter, it simply doesnt work, though its sending (signalized by a LED and i see a "p" or an "tp" sometimes). It either wont let me into the command promt, if i´m letting the terminal program auto-send tpl.
Auto sending will not work, you can not start to send before the router has initialised the serial port.
That is when you see "Net: ag7100_enet_initialize... "
Make sure that handshake is off in comm parameter setting in putty.
Test the adapter by connecting the tx and rx wires together and type on the keyboard.
Characters you type should then show up on the putty screen. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
Thank you thank you thank you! I finally got it. I just had to disconnect a jumper from the TTL-Adapter... that was really weird. But now i can flash, what i want, so thank you

This may be a dumb question, but I have this cable the TL-232R-5V and access to a device (an Arduino Uno) that can provide 3.3V. Could I use just the RX/TX of the cable and have the uno supply power?[/url]

That 3.3V is for output to powerless devices and you don't have to provide it to TL-WR1043ND. I think TL-WR1043ND should be capable of handling 2.5V-5V input. Just connect (cross-over) TX, Rx and GND and it should work. _________________ DD-WRT Forum - Atheros Recommended Build
hello!
thank you for your great hints to unbrick my bricked TP-Link WR1043ND (bricked with openWRT and my friend the image-builder). I used the 12 instructions from hvandrie, but i'm not able to pass step 10. After typing
Code:
tftpboot 0x81000000 code.bin
the process starts again, after trying to reload for 10 times.(see the pic) It is the same behaviour, when i'm starting without an ethernet connection. Somtimes, there was the message
Code:
bad checksum
on the screen.
What is wrong?? Is an important property in tftpd32 missing?? My firewall is down.
Please help!!
As many here I bricked my WR1043ND trying to update the firmware. Now device only blink all leds at same and I got a disconnected cable on Windows while the eth cable is plugged in.
In this scenario, will I am able to recover the router using the serial port on board?
I tried yesterday but I got no response and seems that is a usb-ttl adapter issue since I cannot connect to another device which I know that serial is working.
I'll do some other tests with cable including Tx-Rx connection but I suspect that is a W7-x64 issue.
