it may not work as expected in the atheros versions yet, (i had a problem with a wrt54gs v2 and QOS and my problem was listed in TRAC for over a 9 months). they did fix this in a year or two and it works fine now in K2.4 (it used to make the routers webserver lock up hard and need a reset).

what they could really use is more developers and some ppl to take the load off of serge's sholders, (look at some of the reasons he has closed bugs in TRAC, tho in his behalf we all can be overworked).

1043ND because it is the best what TP-Link offers and it has awsome price/performance ratio.

I have voted for the TP-LINK TL-WR941N, because of the awsome price, detachable antennas and I already have one running with DD-WRT! But I would also agree with a special version for the TL-WR1043N. If the TL-WR1043N will get a special edition version with good support by DD-WRT I will immediately buy one!

It indeed is kind of pointless to make a poll and no feedback on if this was just a survey or if they are really going to do it.

special edition featuring per client bandwidth QoS? Seriously guys; the tomatousb qos is the one to die for. So much time and energy is wasted in the wrong direction.

I'm aware of that. The point is I don't understand the enthusiasm for this special build - perhaps a build that works 100% : P

oh, so true... Sad

dyndns, qos broken, native ipv6 support non-existent (just 6to4 tunnels, barely working), 300mbps speed often falls back to <150mbps without any reason...

i already switched back to factory fw and i'm preparing to migrate to openwrt.

I'm waiting for backfire 10.03.1-rc7 (or final), and i'll tweak it to add the packages for native ipv6 pppoe + dhcpv6-pd support. If it's delayed any longer i'll bite the bullet and install the svn trunk snapshot.

Our provider here supports since mid-october native ipv6 on pppoe links and allocates routable /64 prefixes via dhcpv6 prefix delegation, to be used for client devices behind routers.
