I was expecting that my question was specific enough to get a yes or no answer, silly me!

Here's the original question...
Quote:
Hi, we are planning to use a number of (60+) EnGenius EOC-5610 running DD-WRT in a large WiFi network deployment. We currently use 5610's with their native firmware in the UK which are configured to use UK IR-2007 Band-C ch 149(5.745GHz)-165(5.825GHz) for which we have a UK OFCOM licenses. I understand that we need activation keys to run DD-WRT in these devices but do we or do we not also need a SuperChannel activation key as well?

Extracting stuff from a few answers...
Quote:
So the EnGenius "UK IR-2007 Band-C" is equivalent to DD-WRT "UK_BFWA". And that only the three channels 140 - 5700 Mhz, 167 - 5835 Mhz, 171 - 5855 Mhz can be used without Super Channel activation. Super Chanel activation is required to use the other "UK IR-2007 Band-C" channels.

All I'm trying to do is verify that the above is correct. I know there are n+1 ways to skin a cat but all I'm trying to do is get an answer to my question, that is the official DD-WRT answer.

If you want to use the UK code then you need superchannel. If you use Germany country code then no superchannel is needed. That is official.

I'm one of the forum's primary drunks. Pleased to make your acquaintance.

As you yourself have stated, the official e-mail response and the forum response from the very same dd-wrt official has granted you the lattitude to operate your WISP as you see fit. I'm not sure what else you seem to expect. Worse yet, you seem to understand DD-WRT as poorly as you would understand a 4th of July celebration.

Edit - Spelling and Size.

I though this forums would be a place for help not abuse. Once again silly me.
