Got sent a notice for new product from newegg, looks promising, though i don't have much info beyond whats in the sale ad.. From the info on the page though it now provides 3x3 on both bands instead of only the 5Ghz radio like the v1 does.
It is not likely that Linksys would once again try using Marvell chipsets on one of their routers.
It is even more unlikely when considering that the E4200 is their top of the line model. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
I was very disappointed when I learned that is was not BRCM based, unlike the Netgear WNDR4500. I guess profit is the only consideration in chip selection

I am not sure that this will be marvel, as far as can tell from the fcc docs and test reports nothing is shown that it is infact marvel. I have one coming from amazon, should be here monday! Overnight air for the win.. We shall know in a few days

Is this the same router that you loaded build 17949 onto?
If it is then yours in not a v2 or the v2 is not Marvel based, a dd-wrt firmware would not boot at all on a Marvel based router. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!

Mmh, yes, but you didn't get it (or my English is bad, which is highly probable )...I know I have a v1, of course, otherwise I would have seen v2 written somewhere on the box/product and dd-wrt wouldn't have worked, or worse, brick the router when trying.
I'm thinking about giving back my v1 exercising the right to reconsider, that at least here in my country allows me to return a product purchased over the Internet within a few days of arrival simply because I changed my mind. And since I bought it just four days ago and it has already become an obsolete product to me it does not seem a bad idea to return it, use the WRT54GL until I find the v2, and buy the v2 when it becomes available. However, I asked Fractal to let me know as soon as possible which chipsets are in the new product just to consider if doing all the boring procedure is worth the hassle or not.
