Is realy bricked? never had bricked one before, uses wrt54, netgear and some other routers.
Anyway, today while my router wrt300n v2.0 was working fine but the wifi kept cutting out so thought of updating the firmware to WRT300N-EU-ETSI-ML-2.00.21 and all went into firmware update, after it was done updating I had a strange looking configuration with only WEP as option in the wifi security.
So did a reset the router and since then it all went wrong, I've been busy the whole night to get it back with no joy,
Done 30-30-30 reset.
ping -t 192.168.1.1 and set my pc to 192.168.1.2
When plugging the power cable while holding the reset button and waiting for 10sec the power LED starts to flash yello and green?
There is no joy with ping -t as Im getting:
Request timed out.
Is it bricked? any chance to get it back with jtag? or should I buy a new router?
that is an atheros device, so you are in the wrong forum. You could try the steps at note 6 of the peacock, but I don't know how much of that applies to atheros routers....
My bad for posting in the wrong forum I realy thought it would be a broadcom board. I did try all steps at note 6 of the peacock but still no joy of getting any ping.
Get the Sercomm utility and upload new firmware. _________________ Professional debrick service for EU countries for small fee.

Many thanks, this utility did the trick, it was able to find the router on the network and upload the firmware, all went oke and works very well
While holding the reset button and plugging the power cable, keep holding the reset button for about 10sec the power led started to flash and then the Sercomm utility was able to upload the firmware and upgrade.
