Hi, I would like to know is it possible to make a firmware for TP-Link 703N, because openwrt has one http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr703n ?

yes it is possible, just donate a router to the developers of dd-wrt so that they have something to test on.

I will try to get a couple from China Taobao. Please let me know who will be interested and able to develop a version of DD-WRT for it.

Brainslayer is the one who will port dd-wrt to it when he gets a unit to test on.
Make sure to get a version with 4MB flash (v 1.x if I remember correct) there is apparently a domestic Chinese version (v2 ? ) with only 2MB flash and that is not enough for the dd-wrt firmware.

I will see if I can get someone to buy in China and bring it over. I don't know if it will work for you.
Another question for LOM: Is Brainslayer in Germany? Since I am in the US, what will be the best way to get the unit to him once I get it?

I noticed that volumerates.com is selling it for about $23 with free shipping. Is it possible that we make a cash donation with the understanding that dd-wrt.com will order the 703n on line? It would be much more cost effective.

Not only cost effective, but also and time effective. And I don't think that custom service will tax it.

So twinclouds,I think that you could buy this router on volumerates.com and change the shipping address to DD-WRT address. Or this is not allowed?

I ordered one for myself and they said it is shipped. I will see if it is possible to ship it to Germany once I see the product.
