Hello together,

I already searched the forum but I dont find anything related to my issue:

Where can I download the lasted working firmware (maybe R15xx or R16xxx) for flashing a new dir-600 device?

Of course, I know the router databse, but it only contains 13x and 14x releases Sad

greetings!

Example -> ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/12-18-10-r15940/

Navigate around there and you can choose between 15778 ,15940 or 15962 they all work.
Don t expect wonders.

Before flashing read the wiki about recovering and flashing of the unit.

thank you very much Smile

i will try this one: ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/12-24-10-r15962/dlink-dir600b/

I have already read and tried flashing the unit, but for some reasons the R14xx runs in errors... therefore I wanted to try a newer version Smile

I have installed the version R15962 on my brand new DIR-600 Rev. Bx and everything is working OK.
The rev. Bx has the same 32Mb Ram and 4Mb flash as others revisions.
The only problem is the power led that is orange instead of Green. (This probably can be corrected by gpio

Thats all correct, but loopback for your port forwardings wont work anymore with this release.

I have tested the R18024 and the LAN ports are disabled.
Im using now r18007, but the sshd daemon is missing, so i can manage the router only by GUI or Telnet.

Dear all,
I have just successfully flashed the D-LINK DIR-600 Rev.B2 with r18024, and LAN ports are not working. Is there any workaround to enable the LAN ports? I would like to try flashing to previous version (r18007?) but not sure it is safe to do via WiFi, the only way I communicate with my D-LINK currently.

you can put router in "boot" mode and flash the original firmware, then the build you want.

I tried 15962 on a used DIR 600 I purchased recently and noticed that wireless transfer speeds are still way too low. What are the wireless settings are you using to get the best transfer speeds? I am still unable to get anything higher than 4 mbit per second (around 500kB/sec). I am sure I must be missing something in the wireless settings.

Thanks in advance.

@dark_lord86, thank you. I will try it, hopefully the LAN ports work in "boot" mode.

I bought a D-Link 600 B5E F / W Ver. 2.10 I read somewhere that it is not compatible router with DD-WRT !?
Is it compatible version of DD-WRT released ?
And whether it will be?

Sorry for my bad English Wink

Revision above B2 is currently not supported. They use a different Ralink chipset which is again, not supported. Support for chipset seems to be hard to come by. Might be a long wait , if it ever happens. My advice? Get another router.

Has anyone tried the 18687 build (ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2012/03-08-12-r18687/files/dlink-dir600b/) on the Dir-600 Rev Bx? I'm currently using the old 14896 build, but there the port forwarding is broken, which is a major nuisance. I really hope a new stable version will be out for the Dir-600 Rev Bx in a not too distant future, which has all basic features working.
