DD-WRT v24b 02/28/07 generic not working with WL500gP

Restored my WL500gP to factory defaults
flashed with generic version 02/28/07
Unit didn't seem to boot up - no AIR LED or no assigning of IP's - client with static assigned IP not able to ping the unit.

Restored 02/22/07 with firmware restoration and unit returned to a usefull state.

hello,

same here for me. flashed my wl500gp with "dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin" via web-if - not booting up, no wlan led.

flashed "dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin" again via tftp - not booting up, no wlan led.

flashed "dd-wrt.v24_mini_asus.trx" via tftp - not booting up, no wlan led.

back to "dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin" via tftp - eveything is working again!

Confirmed. Wireless and LAN are unusable, also with static assignment.

WAN led flashes, but I can't tell if it is connected to something.

firmware restore to earlier version brought everything back to normal.

I tried the 5/3 version of "dd-wrt-v24-vpn-asus.trx" on my Asus wl-500g and just like the last v24 version, everything works EXCEPT the routing of trafic to the WAN. The WAN interface even gets an DHCP adress, but there is no NAT going on from the LAN. Logging in with ssh, then you can't ping to the WAN subnet either.
