Hi, I've bricked my TL-WR841N version 7.2 router and need help with the whole serial recovery method.

Here is what I know :-

1.Pinout = TX RX GND VCC

2.I need a 3/4-pin header and the Nokia CA-42 cable.

3.I need something like Putty/U-boot.

Here is what I want to know :-

1. Do I need to "VCC and TX with a 10k resistor"?

2.For the 3/4-pin header, what size spacing do I need between the pins/contacts/metal thingys?

3.How do I use putty?

4.How do I know what COM port the USB is connected to?

5.Anything I don't know about this.

Please help,
Thanks.
