I don't understand why you even try to write the file, don't you read the error message?

You need to have a http server running which can serve the wget request

And how can i do this?
My knowledge ends here.

You do have access to Google, don't you?

Google simple http server for Windows (or whatever OS you run.
Download it and install it.
Make sure that 941.bin is in the folder from where this http server expects to send out files, ie do a config of the server.

Yes it is file not found, you have the 941 file in the wrong directory.
There must be a configuration for the http server where you tell the server which directory it can send out files from.
The 941.bin file that you have must be placed in that directory.

Crying or Very sad No success

Please don't use my IP settings and my file names, use your specific settings. And as LOM mentioned, try it with a web-server instead of the ftp-server, or use the 'ftp' command instead of wget. Maybe the openwrt image includes a simple tftp-client ....

EDIT: Oh I see, you mastered it already. Wink

i bought one of those, WR941ND V3.6
the board was version 1.2 and the flash chip was winbond 25Q32BVS1G (not sure about the G could be 25Q32BVS1O or 25Q32BVS10)
i guess 3.6 owners can flash safely.

Guys, this would be funny to you but I have a 3.2 version too, and my settings would not change but with a small twist...

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing My default settings are my current settings Razz I mean I flashed the router, I setup my settings in it and is working perfectly, I wanted to make a change and it didn´t took it. I tried the 30/30/30 reset and guess what?

The reset took me back to the same setting I had already. Is like the ddwrt firmware did write the intel chipset, but it overwrote the default settings with my current configuration, so everytime I try to reset, is goes back to the same place Laughing Laughing my saved settings Laughing Laughing

I don´t know what happened but at least I can say that in some point of the flashing it did write the intel chip, I got the feeling it did. Because, how can you explain that the router default settings are my current settings now?

To recreate the problem I flashed in order as the wiki said but, I did it quite fast, I mean, as soon as the first flash was ready I flashed the next file. And in the end I changed my setttings, saving on each page and then rebooting.

Well at least I can say that a 3.2 version works, got overwrote and for some reason it doesn´t accept changes, but it works Laughing

Hi guys.
I'm new on this forum and first of all I would like to thank the DD-WRT Team for doing such a splendid job with the firmwares the provide.

I have TP-Link TL-WR941ND v4 router.
When going to the dd-wrt router database I get two files to download:
factory-to-ddwrt.bin and tl-wr941nd-webflash.bin.
I flashed the router with the first one and for the basic tasks I need it it's working perfectly.
Here's my questions :
Why are there two files ?
Do I need to flash it with the second file also ?
The only weird thing I noticed is that it's not showing the load average on the CPU.

Thanks in advance guys and keep up the good work
Very Happy

I have WR941ND v3.6 flashed with new BrainSlayer r18777 firmware factory-to-ddwrt.bin . The router runs fine for about 10 days so far Very Happy . I can confirm that N signal actually works ( tested with 150Mbps USB wireless adapter attached on my laptop) but I don't know if router can perform full N-speed, because I dont have another 300Mbps device to test with, yet.
BTW I've had lots of connection drops and mysterious SSID disappearing with stock firmware. With DD-WRT router works flawlessly. So far so good. Keep up the good work!
