Hi all, was wondering if anyone can tell me if the dd-wrt software has been made to work on a cisco e1200 AP?
I have 2 of these and was looking to load them with the dd-wrt.
If not, can I use the e1000 v.2 load for the e1200?
Thx

Cisco E1200 is not dd-wrt supported, and for your second question - I am not sure what you mean by that.. but i am going to guess that you mean can you use the dd-wrt image for the e1000 v2 and flash it on the e1200? answer is no.

I can't see why the E1200 wouldn't be supported, considering the amount of flash, ram, and the BCM5357...

I know you can't see why it wouldn't be supported, but without the info provided in the link i posted, and yes that means more than just an FCC id, than support will be very slow at best, if you can provide the info in the link i posted, and/or a donated unit for the port, then it could possibly be supported alot faster.

Oh, I read through the link you posted, and am currently waiting for some small parts to build a JTAG cable. Sadly, I can't afford to donate a unit, but I can afford to void a warrantee or two. I was simply stating, barring anything new I find when dumping the CFE, that the e1200 probably has the ability to run DD-WRT, however, after some more digging, I'm worried cisco may have removed some code/commands in current hardware. I'll report back when I get a jtag cable made (as well as the console cables for my stack o' catalysts)

Somehow I've managed to get myself a couple of these (E1200s). Happy to ship/donate them to devs if that'll speed up DD-WRT support!

You also have to take note that there is version 1 and version 2 of this router.. I am working on finalizing the N66U, and E2500 5ghz driver then I am going to work on the E1500, then if interest is still there for the E1200 I will see what I can do.

The E1200 has been ported, both version 1 and version 2.

I am definitely going to knock on wood, but I wanted to thank everyone that pushed this through and got it done so quickly. These inexpensive units are perfectly suited for my needs.

FYI, the from factory to DD-WRT went without any problem at all, and to temper my instant gratification desires, I even set a timer to make sure to give them a full 10 minutes before power cycling them and taking a look.

I am using WDS in a mesh-like setting and equipment and software is cooperating as it should.

I have to say that this was the smoothest and easiest DD-WRT flash that I have ever done - by far - by millenia!

Thanks guys. Keep up the good work and I hope that I am able to contribute somehow in the future as I learn my way.

Thank you Fractal and Brainslayer

Yes, thanks for getting hte E1200 working. I have 3 of them. Two are acting as repeaters picking up mifi signals and I am trying to turn the third into a dual wan load balancer.

I have it configured to have the default Lan on vlan2 and port 4 of the ethernet ports configured as a second WAN port on vlan3.

I can turn on or off either connection and the internet still runs through one or the other connections.

But, I can't seem to get the scripts to work to load balance across the two. Any suggestions?
