Posted: Fri Feb 24, 2012 3:02 Post subject: E2500 -Semi working
I have been working really hard on porting the E2500, I have made awesome progress, I got the router booting and dd-wrt working along with the 2.4ghz radio working and I can login to the router via serial console or wireless..
Only problem is you cannot get to it via plugged in lan.. I believe the problem lies in basic switch support...
src/linux/brcm/linux-2.6.23/brcm/include/bcmrobo.h
once I figure this out, I think it will be done or close.
It recognizes the switch and the wifi driver and boots fine. I was able to connect to the router via wifi and browse the interface.
Here is the new serial output for the 2500 with everything working but the switch.

Most likely reason for the LAN switch not working is that the CFE is putting it into power down/slow clock mode and dd-wrt does not have the driver routines needed for waking it up.
If anyone wants to shed some light on this, its almost done .
Maybe Murrkf can put this thread in the "new linksys router threads" sticky? that way someone smarter than me who can answer your questions may have an easier time finding this?
It states in the subject it is the stock firmware from linksys.com it was intended to be there so devs dont have to go hunt it down on the website. sorry for the confusion
I just got a used E2500. It's soft bricked but I'll have it working back to stock soon. Any way I can help with this? I'm not a coder but I will help if there is something I can do. Let me know.
