dd-wrt.v24-18024_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e3200.bin: Bad trx header
Can anyone provide any insight?
The -e3200 file is only for initial flashing from Linksys fw to dd-wrt.
Subsequent upgrades when running dd-wrt firmware should be done with an -nv60k file.
I have tried with -nv60k files as well.
None of those files ( -e3200 and -nv60k) are intended for flashing via cmdline, they are intended to be used via the web gui only and that's why you get the "bad trx header" error.
There is no need for fancy cmdline flashing..
Alright, but again, the GUI doesn't seem to work. I have even monitored the traffic on my network adapter, the file isn't sending.
EDIT: Ok, so it turns out to be an issue with Internet Explorer! Using Chrome worked, sorry for the hassle.

Then do as Buddee told you, clear your browser cache or use another browser.
Turn off ALL antivirus and firewall programs on the computer! _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
I know that Fractal was working on support for the BCM43236 chip while getting the E2500 running, but I can't tell by the discussion in that build thread if he had been able to do that yet.
I would assume there would be mild fanfare if he did, and Barryware would have let us know.
My personal opinion is to hold off until we hear for sure, based on Brainslayer's note in the download section about how volatile this build could possibly be.
I know that I can't afford to brick either of my e3200 right now, my kids would be really pissed if i interrupted facebook access for a few minutes
Ddwrt latest version has been in-development for over two years and it was only through major shit disturbing that things got fixed.
Qos hadn't been working for most of that time and response from the guys working on it was to del posts and bury them.
Ddwrt lost track of who made them popular and gone more commercial then anything else now.
Linksys seems to have gone down the tubes these days with routers that may or may not do the job.
I finally went to smallnetbuilder and checked reviews.
Settled on the asus RT N56U and it works like a dream .
Not to mention there is a custom firmware for it that considered with just improving it and nothing else.
Pharaoh, i can appreciate your Candor and frustration. I bought my E3200's based on my experiences with my WRT54G v3's and the DD-WRT I had installed on them.
Man they were the proverbial iron horse of routers.
I'm sorry that i dropped the money i did on these, but i'm in the bed i made. I can only hope that DD-WRT continues to move toward stability again, as it can only make my "doorstops" better.
this is the last time i buy Linksys for sure.
DD-WRT is so complex, and the environment of support so diverse, that it seems you really need to work at being heard.

I just bought a E3200 (based on my history with the WRT line)... after reading some of the posts now I'm no longer certain of my purchase. But, can anyone confirm if: when using dd-wrt can the 5GHz radio be used as a wireless client to an existing network and then use the wired and 2.4GHz as connections for computers?
There is no point in complaining about a developmental and unstable build for ANY device and it doesn't belong in this thread. This thread is for information related to the dev of DD-WRT for this device. Don't flash an experimental build and expect anything to work properly. To complain about it is just dumb and a waste of bandwidth.
