I flashed my 703n v1.5 directly from openwrt using the factory.bin. It works. However, there are a few issues I don't know if I didn't set it correctly or the problem of the firmware.
1. I set it address to one of my local network ip and connected an ethernet cable from my local switch to its lan port. I can connect a computer through wireless. The computer can connect to the web and I can access its web interface. However, I cannot access its web interface through the lan address.
2. Whenever I try to change the wireless security to personal mixed, the computer got disconnected.
3. I can only connect to it using telnet but not ssh. I cannot enable ssh for remote web access either. Is ssh installed?
4. The LED does not work.
If you tested it on 703n also, please share your experience.

i had an openwrt r298xx...
web upgrade did not work so i tried flashing from ssh console:
mtd -r tl-wr703nv1-webflash.bin firmware
after reboot wifi led was on and serial console was dead...

Yes you did something wrong
You can not use a dd-wrt webflash file unless you already have dd-wrt on the router, you should have used the factory-to-ddwrt file.
The webflash file has an extra dd-wrt header and you can not mtd write such a file, it is intended for the dd-wrt web gui update only. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
I flashed the latest version of dd-wrt for 703n. It appears that the LED still not working. SSH is not available still. I can login using telnet though. Are these others observing?

Yup, same problem here. No SSH. I can't do much without it. I guess we have to wait for that.
Is the WR703N only available as domestic Chinese model?
TP-Link's international web site does not have it in the product list and the only firmware I can find for making a revert-to-factory file is from their domestic web site.
I guess the interest for a revert file is minimal if gui language is Chinese? _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
