This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build. (eg: 18767_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin).Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Well ... there still seems to be an issue with the router giving out a WAN IP address to an internal computer at bootup. Otherwise, seems to be an ok build. If any problems come up, I will report them here. _________________ E3000 22200M KongVPN K26

I have installed the generic k24 vpn build on my wrt310n v1. It seems to be working properly overall at least in a general way. However, LZO compression will revert to disabled when I set it to yes. (Appears to be related to changeset 19741) _________________ SIG:

flashed std_usb_nas to my RT-N16.. It showed the same radio behavior I reported in the 18740 thread..
After playing with the radio settings.. All I did was change from channel 10, to 11 and the problem was resolved.
This is strange.. I flash the k24_std_nokiad build to the TM and the radio had no issue. Whatever router I am using as my main router, always has the same setup (radio always uses channel 10)
Doing a site survey, there were no ap's in the neighborhood near channel 10 or 11.
Forever, I have always use channel 10 on the radio.. I have no explaination why changing from 10 to 11 fixed it.
Possibly a neighboring ap with a hidden ssid?
anyway.. so far.. so good on the rt which is in service as my main router / gateway / dhcp server. The tm just has the same problem reporting free space on the sd card. I believe this may have been broken when nvram status was added to the gui. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
k24 broadcom build _nokaid_generic is broken. Fails to flash (attempted from previous version, and attempted as a fresh flash - reset all) will show "upgrade failed".
Upgraded (dd-wrt.v24-18024_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-nv60k.bin) to (dd-wrt.v24-18767_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-nv60k.bin)
e4200 - primary router/gateway
2.4Ghz (GN) with 20Mhz channel width did not see the drop in speed like what occurred in 18740 – seems OK
5Ghz (N) with 40Mhz channel width seems OK
SSH fixed
Under JFSS2 Support JFSS2 displays - Total / Free Size 8,448.00 KB / -
Under Sys-Info JFSS2 displays JFFS2 - 324.00 KB / 8,448.00 KB
Nocat does not work
Upgraded (dd-wrt.v24-18740_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-nv60k.bin) to (dd-wrt.v24-18767_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-nv60k.bin)
e2000 - hard wired from e4200
WDS to e3000 using 5Ghz (N) with 40Mhz channel width
Seems OK
e3000 - WDS on 5 Ghz (N) with 40Mhz channel width
2.4 (GN) with 20Mhz channel width
Seems OK _________________ Netgear XR500, R7800

I spoke too soon.. after a couple of hours, the radio on the rt went back to 2mbs and all connected clients are (were) completely unusable.
I put the tm back which is running this k24 build and older radio drivers and does not have this problem.
I am certain... or at least pretty sure it is not my environment.. Playing with channels & beacon, any save to the radio parameters bring the reported link speed right back up. Any where from a couple of minutes to an hour or so, the radio slows back down to 2mbs. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
