Doh, still no wi-fi on my dir-825 (not 2.4 nor 5 GHz). Sad

will never be back again until you fix your calibration data which seems to be destroyed on your device. thats the only reason if the wifi is not working. you can see that in the kernel log too

Webflash on Buffalo WBMR-HP-G300H works ok.
Internet connection via internal modem works. Lan also ok. Airprint works.

Tx power can't be set. Changes are neglected. Airprint via vpn doesn't work.
No other problems so far. Development of firmware is on a good way. A good idea is in my opinion to change under WAN Connection Type, Advanced settings, Payload type the default setting to Bridged.

tx power setting works as always. but dont expect that values are accepted which are invalid/too high/unsupported by the wireless card

Your are right. Didn't expect, that default power is max allowed power. The web interface seen to accept higher values. Would it be possible to save only allowed values so you notice wrong values on entering data?

TX power may be working fine, but TX chains are not, at least for WNDR3700 v1 and DIR-825 units and probably similar ones, r18024 is the last one with proper TX chains.

WNDR3700 v1 (ath0), TX chains 1+2, 40 Mhz width (NOT dynamic)

r18007 = max TX power 20 dBm, GUI TX 300, GUI RX 300, throughput >110 Mbps
r18024 = max TX power 20 dBm, GUI TX 300, GUI RX 300, throughput >110 Mbps

r18687 = max TX power 17 dBm, GUI TX 150 GUI RX 300, throughput <85 Mbps
r18740 = max TX power 17 dBm, GUI TX 150 GUI RX 300, throughput <85 Mbps
r18767 = max TX power 17 dBm, GUI TX 150 GUI RX 300, throughput <85 Mbps

3 dBm less TX power is half the power + throughput drop. Points to a TX problem. N-Only mode for ath0 also breaks for 2x2 clients starting at r18687, they don't connect at all. With r18007/r18024 I have to set TX chain to 1 to copy the performance of r18687+ at 1+2. Already a ticket up for this.

WiFi/WLAN Configuration tab and LEDs are back on WNDR3700v2! Very Happy

I used the factory.img with tftp upload.

Now have to setup and test OVPN Client functions...

OK, short overview:

3700v2 as OVPN Client now working (again). Very Happy

This was very important to me because i have a dozen of Netgear Routers here waiting for their (VPN-) installation!

VPN Upload shows no stucks / stuttering / breaks like before.

Only flaw:
LZO Compression Option "Yes" is not saved in config.

5GHz band (ath1 interface) on DIR 825 Rev B is not working for me.

Status page says the radio is on, but it doesn't appear to pick a channel on "Auto" channel mode. If I manually try to set the channel, it still doesn't work. The "Channel" parameter just displays "Unknown" all the time. Build 18024 works fine.

*** The same device and the same problem, more than that , VAP's not working also.
- - - When it's just after a hard reset well then every wireless connection's working, but as soon as 2.4 Ghz 's connected (blue INTERNET LED's lighted and i can see a connected devices from each side) as "CLIENT BRIDGE" so after that 5 Ghz and VAPs aren't working if even if enabled...

flashed my wzr-hp-g300nh yesterday with webflash image
on my router configured as wireless bridge, worked great, but i couldn't get it to receive default gateway via DHCP,
when i set it manually though it worked. haven't tried doing a 30/30/30 yet. since manual config works.
