Hi, it is possible to install http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/eko/V24-K26/svn18946/dd-wrt.v24-18946_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-nv60k.bin

to this device, otherwise, what is the newest dd-wrt image?

I need 2.6 because of Samba and NTFS.

No, not possible, that build you linked is for broadcom units only. The latest build for this model is in the FTP.

Not sure, i am fairly sure that Samba support is included, but not sure about NTFS, thats something you'd have to find out on your own if no one else chimes in and lets it be known..

I have now switched to dd-wrt and if my problems persist i'll return the router next week.

It actually is working! I was suprised to find that a 1TB NTFS drive I plugged in did work. However it is very slow. ~1.5Mb/s versus ~8Mb/s for ext3. So if you have to have NTFS, then it will work, but if you want any sort of performance I would highly recommend ext3.

Hi all,

Trying to optimize my router, and using my iPad 2 I seem to only be getting 64M tx and rx rates - these are below expected, right? However, my PS3 which is further away gets 104 tx and 54 rx.

My settings are:
NG mixes,
Turbo (40MHz)
Auto channel
Lower control channel
TX Power is 22 dBm
gain is 0
Short preamble is disabled
Both antenna chains are 1+2+3
Sensitivity range is 800

Am I missing something?

Hum, just sucessfully went from original to ddwrt.

I downloaded the firmware from the download page, but it seems i got an old one?

from 2010, is that right? Why is the download page linking to an old firmware?

If i want to upgrade to the latest now, should i use the factory to ddwrt or the webflash one?

Hey guys, I just purchased the TL-WR1043ND router and was interested in flashing dd-wrt on it, however I find the website & wiki somewhat confusing.

On the router database page, the version there is really old (2010). I also see that there is a newer version here: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2012/03-19-12-r18777/tplink_tl-wr1043nd

I am not really certain of what the best version is.

I also found some instructions here: http://samiux.blogspot.ca/2010/03/howto-dd-wrt-on-tp-link-tl-wr1043nd.html
Are they any good?

I suppose that there was some progress made since that time no? Or are the newer ones unstable?

I have similar problems with my iPad 3, so I'm hoping someone will have some suggestions for us both. I didn't ever try the original firmware so I don't know if this is a ddwrt problem?

Is it worth erasing the nvram or doing a 30/30/30 reset?
