Stop using N-Only. Use NG-Mixed/NA-Mixed for 2.4 GHz/5 GHz respectively. v2 seems to be fine with N-Only.

got it working by setting channel width to "Full(20 MHz)". for others in the same boat, try it out and post whether it works or not.

Try these:
Wireless Network Mode: N-Only
Channel Width: Turbo (40)
Wireless Channel: 52
Extension Channel: upper
TX Power: 20
Antenna Gain: 4

And report back Wink

Changing these settings worked for me. My Sony BD-Player was able to detect/join the network.

when you guys updated to 18777 on the 3700v2 did you guys reset to default?

The wiki says not to restore to defaults and just upgrade as is? I always restored and then did a 30/30/30 reset after wards. Is the 30/30/30 reset still needed or can i keep my current settings?

has anyone restored and caused a brick?

Restore to defaults, upgrade, wait for router to reboot (some routers take up to 5 min doing multiple restarts by itself - wait for it), restore to defaults (for the new firmware), reboot.

The wiki is full of errors by users who believe in some kind of magic and who believes that problem A is caused by B even if it is completely illogical.

30-30-30 is one of those magics and it will on a lot of routers get them into boot loader recovery mode on an ip address that the user doesn't expect.
He will believe that the router is bricked when he can't connect to it.

should have waited for a post here, followed the wiki and did not restore my settings and ended with a brick, had to tftp to stock and then to 18777.

I have always reset my boardcom routers > upgraded > reset > 30/30/30 twice and it seemed odd that it did not want me to do that this time.

I tftp to stock and then to 18777 and oddly it still had my settings so following the wiki i 30/30/30 reset the router.

I hope thats good enough because i just finished configuring it.

Is the below wiki correct for VAP and separate VLAN's? I would like to create a guest network.

If I use a USB hub, will printing and USB storage both work at the same time? Has anyone tried this?

thanks

Hi There,

I tried putting dd-wrt on my 3700 around 12-15 months ago, but I found that both Wired and Wireless performance and responsiveness was slower compared to the stock Firmware. Is this still the case?

I'd like to put dd-wrt back on, but the performance is important and I don't want to go through the hassle of the Flashing then restore process to to get the stock FW back on if it's still not working out.

I'm currently on the new DNS beta as well, if that helps.

Many thanks,
Jimster

I installed this on my wndr3700v1 yesterday. I've found both the wireless range and speed to be less than with the stock firmware. I hardly have wireless signal in my bedroom now where I used to have no problems. I'll likely be reverting to stock and wait until DD-WRT matures some more for this router.

You probably failed to look at the WNDR3700 & Atheros wireless settings on the wiki to properly configure them.. right.?

I set the gains/tx power according to the router specifications here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Netgear_WNDR3700

Additionally, used this page to try and get my Advanced settings correct: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Atheros/ath_wireless_settings

Any opinions on things I should try and play with specifically?
