i did use the search and have googled for hours..

Problem is i have a wrt54gl and have set up pptp and i works fine AS LONG i'm on the lan... from outside i get the da*^Å?`619 error.

remote side uses 192.168.0.x ip range and local lan side is 192.168.1.x

router ip is 192.168.1.1 and ip for pptp has been set to both 0.0.0.0 and 192.168.1.1 with no luck.

firmware is: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/10/09) vpn

any input is mostly welcome

EDIT: spi firewall is off and vpn passthrough is on

might it be that port 47 and 1723 is not open even thou vpn passthrough should have done that?

found this claim:

Quote:

Linksys WRT54G V4 with factory firmware (or DD-WRT firmware) cannot forward GRE 47 protocol from WAN-to-LAN, hence you cannot use a PPTP VPN server behind such router/firewall. But if you upgrade the firmware to DD-WRT-VPN , you can use the same box to do firewall and PPTP VPN at the main entry point.

for me it does not clear the matter, it makes it even harder to understand.[/quote]

remote pc is located in the uk and i can vnc it.. also have access to the router at remote end.

my plan was that any pc could connect with vpn but also routers at some time/point

How exactly is this something that needs to be discussed in a dd-wrt forum. It appears to have nothing to do with dd-wrt.
