What I am trying to do here is add a blu-ray player and and xbox 360 to my wireless home network. The problem is that the wireless router and DSL modem are on a different floor, and on the other side of the house than the blu-ray player and xbox. So connecting the routers via ethernet cable is not what I want or else i would have to drill several holes in the walls and ceiling.
So what I did was flashed the firmware on a e1000 v2 linksys router with a dd-wrt firmware, this is to be the router connected to the blu-ray and xbox. the other router is a linksys WRT160Nv2 so i can not install dd-wrt on it but from what i understand i dont need to on that one.
I have been trying for days to get this to work but no matter how I configure the dd-wrt router it does not connect to the other router.
