I am using a linksys e4200
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (12/12/11) std-usb-nas
(SVN revision 18000)
and I have a Western digital 2tb usb harddrive attached to the usb port. usb drive is shared to the network by samba and mounted on /mnt. The usb drives will work for roughly 3 days before it becomes in accessible. In dmesg I get the error
Code:
Buffer I/O error on device sda1, logical block 14909
scsi 0:0:0:0: rejecting I/O to dead device

6 to 7 times whenever I attempt to access the drive. The drive however works perfectly fine and when I disconnect the drive from the router and directly to my computer I can access every file on there. I have tried to usb drive on both windows 7 64 bit and Ubuntu 12.04

Any idea as to why this is happening. Its rather annoying to restart my router every 2-3 days just so we can access the family network drive.
