It doesn't matter bro as long as you have the radio/wireless working. Best way is to try other firmware but be very careful. Don't use firmware not intended for your device. take time to read some posts here inside.

Is there any solution for the wireless led light for my dir-615 e4?
Flash dlink-dir615h-factory-webflash.bin first from dlink fw, then the full fw dir615h-ddwrt-webflash.bin from dd-wrt. Caution, even it is tested and confirmed working for H2, do this at your own risk.

I have a DIR-615C1 with DD-WRT, but I think I had a bad flash. I'm trying to roll back to the stock firmware, but I am encountering issues, because the recovery flash won't load no matter what.

Hey there,
Stuck after a successful flash on my DIR-615 C1.
Here is my setup.
I have a DGL-4500 (192.168.0.1) as my main router, with the DiR-615 connected to it and connected to my desktop PC.
I flashed the DIR-615 with the latest version of DD-WRT and believe it was successful as I can browse the internet but I cannot access the web interface. I checked the logs of my DGL-4500 and believe it has allowed the 615 to setup on 192.168.0.199. When I ping that IP, I get a response but when I try to input that ip address in Mozilla I do not get the web interface coming up.
