I have been looking in the wiki on how to install DD-WRT on a Belkin F7D4302 v1 and I know it said that the router database is outdated but that needs to be fixed as that is where most people go to put DD-WRT on there routers. anyway I found the router in the supported devices but I can't find the router in the wiki and I don't know what build I need for it. Also I can't find where to download the builds. The process needs to be less complicated as I'm having to go to different pages to find the information.
If going through multiple pages of info is too complicated for you then I suggest you stay with stock firmware.
There are a couple of threads covering the 4301 and 4302 in this forum section and you can easily find them with a forum search or google search. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
download this file
dd-wrt.v24-15030_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini.bin
do the 30x3 reset
rename the download file to one the belkin router browser can find.
upload to router web browser
wait a good few mins
download and upgrade this file
dd-wrt.v24-15030_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin
that build worked for me when changing firmware from the belkin original, i.e start with the mini build, then use the big build.
im now using dd-wrt.v24-18688_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin
i cant get my smart tv to pick up the 5ghz but others claim it works.
i also tried a kong mod, that build was handy for music and video shares with other devices.
i love ddwrt because i can connect my 3g dongle to the usb and share internet. the guys who write these programs are bright sparks, keep up the great work.
