I have recently had a lot of problems with my DLINK DI-624 router, which has Atheros Super-G in it. Now, I think its a problem with the factory firmware, so I want to replace it with DD-WRT. Is this possible? If not, can you direct me to a cheap alternative that supports some form of enhanced Wifi-G system? I chose my router for its ability to go 108Mbps, so is there is something out there or my router can run DD-WRT? Thanks in advance... Very Happy

There are a couple of things you should know. SuperG requires that both ends support the SuperG specification, and unless you have an Atheros wireless card it's going to fall back to G. This is true of all of the enhanced wireless modes. Unless both sides support the technology, it will fall back to regular speeds.

BrainSlayer,

My D-Link 624 Rev C has the Atheros AR5002AP-G (AR2312 CPU + AR2112 2.4GHz RoC) chipset. With the Buffalo WHR-HP-AG108 support (Beta) that you just posted (Atheros WiSoC 5312 220 Mhz) it looks like the same class of SoC as the 624 is already implemented for the D-Link.

And, the Kamikaze build of OpenWRT seems to already support the AR531x/231x series.

What do I need to do to build a micro version of dd-wrt to try out on the D-Link 624?

Is there a build of dd-wrt that you have already posted that I should try out?
