2 Router im gemeinsamen Wlan Netz

Ich habe 2 Wzr-HP-g450h(von Buffalo) die ich per Wlan miteinander verbinden will. Sie Arbeiten mit der Software DD-WRT V24sp2-Multi (3/21/12) Std von der Seite von Buffalo. Der AP-Router hat den DCHP und die IP 192.168.12.1 und der Client-Router die Feste IP(192.168.12.200). Das System ist im Moment über Wlan mit einer WPA Verschlüsslung verbunden. Grundsätzliche kann ich wenn ich einen Laptop nehme und ihn an irgendeinen Router Anschließe(per Kabel) über beide System ins Internet und auf beide Router zugreifen.. Sie bilden also ein Netzwerk über Wlan und auf dieses sollten Laptops dann auch zugreif per Wlan haben..

Wie kann ich das nun testen. Ich habe das Gefühl das sich meine Laptops immer nur den AP-Router zum Verbinden nutzten aber nie den Router nehmen der das Stärkste Signal (Je nach Position) hat.

Wenn ich sie per Kabel verbinden dann kann ich über einen tracert den Weg verfolgen den meine Anfrage nimmt. Wenn ich das per Wlan mache dann wird hier nie der Client-Router(192.168.12.200) gemeldet..

Stimmt mein Test oder muss ich das anders Probieren.
oder mach ich einen logischen Fehler ???

Die Einstellung für das Wlan ist
beim Client-Router auf - Client Bridge (routed) und auf Auto (DHCP)

Die Einstellung für das Wlan ist
beim AP-Router auf – AP
