I have couple of Ruckus VF2111 devices laying around what do nothing in current form or shape - basically it is possible to use those device only as a client with Ruckus AP 802.11b/g on the other end. It has built in Ruckus antenna array, but if to dismantle the box then there is one uFl connector still on board.
CPU is being reported as Atheros AR2315.
FDD ID: S9GVX2XX1
The device itself is running OpenWRT, but WLAN part is not being supported.
There is support for that given device in DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/08/12) std (SVN revision 19456). At least for now I see it being identified as "Fonera 2100/2200".
I can confirm you that it works. You just have to follow exactly the same steps for the Fonera 2100 firmware. In fact, DD-WRT detects it as a Fonera router.
The only problem though is that the leds aren't working the way they should, but that's a minor annoyance that can be easily dismissed (althoigh, if you have a fix for that, let me know).
I'd like to try with the VF2825 as well, because the firmware on that router is old and it doesn't support much of the stuff that is standard today (like UPnP for example).
I don't know if the 7 antennas on those devices work though. I don't know if that feature is firmware-dependant or not.

How to flash ruckus vf2111 with dd-wrt? Do I need serial cable or I can use some other method?
