Can I setup to have my wifi bridged to Ethernet only...my wifi signal received then and distributed to several computers through the Ethernet ports while the wifi is turned off so no one can utilize it?
How can a wifi be received if the wifi is off....? _________________ SIG:

Yes, I was thinking that...but, I thought there might be an option to turn off send while receive stays on?
That's too funny. Think about it. Router can yell but is deaf...
Now read the first post in this forum.... _________________ SIG:

That is funny... the point of networking is pretty much useless if all of the computers can only listen.
In case you were unaware... most Internet communication requires two-way communication for TCP response/acknowledge/control packets.
You can use firewall rules to limit what goes out or comes in... but thinking that you can communicate over WiFi in one direction while the WiFi radio is off is truly laughable.
Yes, I know this. I was hoping that the bridge could be setup so that it can only send/receive wirelessly with the router and distribute to other computers through Ethernet.

OK - sorry then, I must have missunderstood your request.
It is certainly plossible to get WiFi connected and distribute Internet on wired connections on the LAN side of the router. Try "Client-mode" in the WiFi setup. There are documents explaining this in the DD-WRT Wiki.
Ok, I may be stupid but I still have to setup a network bridge and can't figure out how to repeat my signal. Could someone direct me to instructions that are able to be understood by an armature?
