All,
I am new to DD-WRT and need help!
I followed the instructions on the DD-WRT wiki for Actionted MI424WR Rev D. I was able to flash the firmware with RedBoot jungo-image.py and after the 30-30-30 hard reset and connecting to the WAN port I am unable to Telnet to 192.168.1.1 port 9000 and get the "Redboot>" prompt. Any suggestions on what should I do to resolve this?
Rev. D: plug into LAN port. _________________ Forum Guidelines...How to get help

Sash, thanks for the prompt response. I tried the telnet to the router on port 9000 using the LAN port still no luck. I tried it after a normal reboot of the router and a reboot with the reset button pressed to bypass the RedBoot boot script. I also re-installed the RedBoot loader ans still no luck. I am unable to telnet to the router and now am completely stuck, I cannot proceed with the DD-WRT install or get access to the router through its original interface. Please advise.
I also re-installed the RedBoot loader ans still no luck.
how and why?
if u did it and it was successfull und never installed redboot! _________________ Forum Guidelines...How to get help

Hi Sash,
I installed RedBoot using Python script and instructions on http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/MI424WR and the script executed successfully to indicate that the flash update was complete. The step after the flash update with the new RedBoot requires me to telnet to the router on Port 9000 which is where I am unable to connect and get a RedBoot prompt to install the DD-WRT ROM.
and? just flash ddwrt when connected!
read the instruction! _________________ Forum Guidelines...How to get help
