I had my e2500 working as a repeater with build 18625(?), well when I saw there were new builds I figured I would try to set it up as a repeater bridge, which I couldn't get it to work as before. So we wouldn't have to switch networks to use the printer.
Now I am using nv60k big, 19342. And when I set it up as a repeater bridge I can access the repeater both wirelessly and with ethernet, and with both I can access my main router, but no internet access, my main router sees the repeater and sees me as being connected through ethernet, but no internet.
So I tried setting it back up as a repeater, and when I connect to the repeater through ethernet, everything works fine, internet and all, great speeds, but I can't connect to the repeater wirelessly at all.
I need it to work wirelessly as either a repeater bridge or repeater, have multiple computers that use it, either one is fine, switching networks is only a minor inconvenience.

according to http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/2536 there is a bug in the code for OpenVPN. I am attempting to see if there has been any follow up. Several of us are continuing to have TLS Hand shake errors with this build of DD-WRT. I specifically have used the CRT/KEY on different platforms and it consistently fails on the E2500 that I want it to work on.
Anyone successfully upgrade to newest build and get OpenVPN to work? I'm running 18946M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko on my e2500 and it works fine - but want to get the latest updates/features that Fractal has implemented, but only if OpenVPN works properly. Granted, I can continue to hold off until 5GHz gets implemented - as that is the only other true feature I need besides OpenVPN (very crowded 2.4GHz spectrum where I live).

Is it still within the plans to support the 5GHZ antenas in the E2500 router? I don't mind waiting for the update, but just want to know if it is still within the plans to support such feature.

Haven't used dd-wrt for almost 2 years. had installed on my 54g linksys, left outside to get better signal, thus it rained, no longer working... i bought a wrt111... not bad ... fake "n" but worked good. Picked up e2500 last week, checked dd-wrt if supported... saw it was, and now reading all the issues. tried to d/l any version from ftp, but doesn't allow to d/l from ftp sites on my phone. not even with a ftp app. Is the links for e2500 dead?
I have a problem :/ Please let me know if I should start a new thread for this and/or file a bug.
It seems anytime I change the subnet of the router itself, it ceases to allow traffic to passthrough to the WAN.
My LAN is subnetted as 10.0.0.96/27. When I set the router's IP to 10.0.0.97 with mask 255.255.255.224, NOTHING gets routed through to the WAN side. However, the router itself can in fact connect to the WAN, as I'm able to SSH into the router and ping google. If I set the mask back to 255.255.255.0 (leaving the IP 10.0.0.97), everything being NAT'd can reach the WAN without issue. Is this something I should file a bug for?

I noticed the new packaging as well I believe the -NP maybe just means new packaging I can purchase a cheap E900-NP to see if its the same hardware, but the macaddress and serials look the same.
I have in fact been working on 5ghz support again for this until the nand flash's get committed to trac... I used the asus GPL for the N53 using Release 1.1.1.1.52
you have to copy wl_high.o into the kernel source tree it is made and compiled for kernel 2.6.22 we are using 2.6.24.111 aka 2.6.23
I have gone though all the source for the N53 router, what I really need is the wl_high.c file and not this precompiled binary blobs.. However that said with release 1.1.1.1.52 I only get 3 errors during module post.
I can get rid of these errors by making a wl_high.h file and adding a define for these.. Once I do this I do get a wl_high.ko kernel module for our kernel its about 1.3mb. However inserting the module into kernel complains about those missing functions in dmesg and therefor doesnt light the 5ghz radio.
so the 3 errors:
CTF- I believe that is the CTF module that asus compiles as a super nat cut through forwarding.. It is also a binary blob
Preempt_schedule - I believe this is due to the kernel heading being 2.6.22-preempt-xx
alloc-dev is needed in all kernels at different stages and is a widely used function in 2.6.23.
I have spent a good few days on this, if we can narrow this down and fix those, we should have a 5ghz driver...
I have confirmed with cisco once the kernel module is happy... A simple
insmod ./wl_high.ko instance_base=1 should fire it.

Great firmware. I, too, am waiting for 5ghz support. This firmware was the entire reason for purchasing the e2500 over my dlink dir-655
that is great news... I look forward to seeing the code.. I got really close the other night Most of the new Asus drivers have alot of unresolved symbols that is what let me to that specific driver wl_high.ko, as it only has a few unresolved symbols.. If you want to to pm the source link I can tag/add it to my builds and roll it into the E2500/E3200.
I applaud you for figuring it out, this is indeed good news...
