Curious if anyone is having issues mounting via USB on the E1550 -- I've tried extfs2/3 and NTFS with no luck. I've used the following version:

dd-wrt.v24-18946_NEWD-2_K2.6_std_usb_nas-nv60k.bin

And here's the output of the USB tab on the router:

It would appear that any ext3/2 file systems won't mount, or NTFS formatted through GPART, but when I format it NTFS in disk utility on OSX.. it automounts that volume.

So with that said managed to get everything installed & Transmission running stable, only real issue is streaming over SMB which is fine for anything that isn't high bitrate.. so really the only thing life would be to have ext3 working which I've heard has around 3x the throughput.

Also for others w/ this router, the only way I could get Optware installed was via:

wget http://www.3iii.dk/linux/optware/optware-install-ddwrt.sh -O /tmp/optware-install.sh
sh /tmp/optware-install.sh

install dd-wrt.v24-18946_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini.bin and then dd-wrt.v24-18946_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin on my Belkin F7D8301, so far the router run great. Both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz work fine. just 2.4Ghz is way better then 5Ghz channel.

I have 50Mb/10Mb xfinity, 2.4Ghz channel can have around 45Mb/10Mb internet speed, 5Ghz channel stick around 20Mb/10Mb no matter how close to the router.

Flashing dd-wrt.v24-18946_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e1200v1.bin to Cisco Linksys E1200 V1 went without a hitch. However wi-fi speed is awful, especially on iPad. Wife is not happy about this. I tried disabling the three settings related to DNSMasq on the main Setup page which seemed to help a little, but I really need DNSMasq so it's not really a good solution.

Try adding the following to the Administration>Commands section, save to startup, and reboot.
This will set the transmit power to the driver default and force enable interference mitigation.

wl txpwr1 -1
wl interference 2

I am getting problems with milkfish on DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/07/12) big - build 18946M NEWD Eko WRT54G-TM. I was on 15230 mega before and milkfish was working perfectly.
I am only using local subscribers. I added my local subscribers in the gui but i still cannot register a client on lan or wan.
As i said before this worked perfectly on 15230 mega build from eko.

However when I insert the commands below via telnet I can register, but when the router reboots i cannot register again.

nvram set sip_domain=xxxx.homesip.net
nvram set milkfish_enabled=1
nvram set milkfish_password=xxxx
nvram set milkfish_dynsip=on
nvram set milkfish_username=xxxx
nvram set milkfish_fromdomain=xxxx.homesip.net
nvram set milkfish_fromswitch=on
nvram commit
reboot

milkfish_services sipdb adduser 1000 1000
milkfish_services sipdb adduser 1001 1001
milkfish_services phonebook
milkfish_services sipdb storenv
nvram commit
reboot

Is there any higher build with working Milkfish for WRT54G-TM? Or did something changed with milkfish from 15230? I just thought I should try a newer build but i may just revert back to 15230 mega.

Openvpn, wireless AP and my other settings works perfectly in DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/07/12) big - build 18946M NEWD Eko though.

Model: Cisco / Linksys E1200 V1
Purchased: e-Bay $15 after freight
Firmware used:
Initial Flash: dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-e1200v1.bin
Final Flash: dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-nv64k.bin

Process:
1. I did a 30/30/30 reset and like has been said the reset button is on the bottom and clearly labeled - LOL.
2. Downloaded the initial flash firmware and then the nv64k build from the DD-WRT Website & Printed the instructions from the wiki.
3. Connected a Windows 8.1 Pro laptop to Port 1 & logged into the Stock Firmware.
4. It flashed the initial firmware in almost no time at all & I let it sit for 5 minutes.
5. I unplugged the unit for 5 seconds and then reconnected the power and let it sit for 2 more minutes.
6. I did another 30/30/30 Reset (IDK if this is necessary but I've had to with other routers immediately after installing DD-WRT).
7. Logged into my spiffy new firmware and set my username and password. Then I upgraded to the mini-nv64k firmware that I downloaded before, waited until it reset itself and let it sit for 5 minutes.
8. Power cycled the router & let it sit for 2 more minutes.
9. 30/30/30 Reset (overkill?)
10. Logged in, set username and password again, disabled WAN (i'm using it as an AP), disabled DHCP, setup the wireless and security, & viola` Done!

Notes:
I haven't experienced any speed issues with the wireless like some others have.

I have all the ports associated with the internal switch (no WAN) and I'm using it strictly as an AP.

It's been working perfectly for (2) weeks now with regular VIOP and streaming (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube) traffic going through it.

My router and all of my AP's are on different channels. I verified that each channel was clear of other devices before I set them. I live in a rural area so I only had to worry about the stuff I have in my house causing interference.

It was easy and i'm thrilled with the results. The only things you have to remember are: it's very important to not rush and follow EVERY step of the instructions!

thank you for this info.
I need one piece of info I cannot find in the Peacock, in the Wiki, on the forum: E1200v1 has been out there a long time and most of us using 'factory' firmware long ago upgraded to their last build: Ver.1.0.04. They do not post openly the original build.
To process first the trailed build, later the nv64k, are we to FIRST revert to the original ROM, or OK to go from Ver. 1.0.04?
