I tried to install DD-WRT on this router but it wouldn't boot up after the initial flash. Now every time I restart it just goes to the web recovery page at 192.168.1.10. I've tried multiple times with BOTH files listed on the router database page for this router and waited 5+ minutes for each but every time it just sits there... and the web recovery page is the only one that works.
Airlink101 seems to have completely removed the GPL page and all legacy firmware. PLEASE link me to ANY version of the stock firmware for the AR670W.
Is it normal to show Rate = 54 Mb/s in the status / wireless?
Isn´t 300 MB/s?
I can't get my AR670W above 54Mb/s either. The issue is not just in the GUI, I've confirmed that it won't actually talk over 54Mbs, and even if configured for 40Mhz it will only use a 20Mhz channel. (I'm on build 16214.)
Hello, I don't know what happened to my ar670, but the wireless does not work anymore. I can't access the web interface either (192.168.1.1). I can access the recovery page by pressing the reset and powering, but none of the dd-wrt build's work. I've been reading through but can't find the original firmware. Can some body please upload that firmware again?? thanks.

I'm having problems with mu AR670W. If i use 14896 or 14280 then I can connect to my Fios using PPPoE, however I then have the Apple WiFi connection drop problem mentioned in earlier posts on this thread and here [iPhone WiFi connections drop after a few min of use. Resetting the client works OK for another few min.]:
However when I try the suggested version 16214 then PPPoE doesn't work and I can't connect to Fios (no matter how many times I attempt to connect and reset the lease).
Any suggestions on newer working versions that I can try that solve both the WiFi problem and PPPoE connect issue?
I just found this router on a cheap store, paid 4$, at first it worked only via wifi. I was already on DD-WRT r18007, and had the WAN and LAN bug not working.
And everything works fine now. But i tought that i will be able to see the ipv6 button under management, but it is not there. And there is no version with NoKaid only standard. Why is that ? nobody tried to remove the Kaid to put ipv6 ? I would like to test the IPV6 with that router, if anyone can help...
EDIT: just did a quick test, i was able to upgrade from 16214 to :
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/18/12) std - build 18767
but still no IPV6

I got AR670w from Amazon, flashed successful to ddwrt - 14896.
I would like to use this AR670w as a wireless repeater bridge correctly but no success.
Example:
My remote AP (in adjacent building) SSID is AIRWAVE, which I can get good strong signals.
I wish to connect via wirelessly using my newly flashed AR670W (using DDWRT) so that my local clients can connect to the local LAN ports and also wirelessly local to a new SSID. But, I can't figure out how to configure the WAN port so that it can connect wirelessly.
I also looked at the wireless tab on my AR670w (Wireless Physical Interface wl0). It has following choices:
AP, Client, Adhoc, Repeater, Repeater Bridge.
Here's my problem, I was able to connect as CLIENT only which allows me to hard ware but DHCP service from the 1st router doesn't work. But, I can manually put in the IP address and it works.
When I select as Repeater or Repeater Bridge, it wasn't able to allow the clients PC connected to the wire ports to surf Internet even with Static IP address keyed in manually.

Has anybody been able to get the WiFi working on this router with the latest build, or know of a newer build than the one located here (this is the one I have tried):
I picked it up for free from a yard sale sans power adapter, and, with a quick purchase of an adapter from DealExtreme, have it back in business, so I would love to get it fully functional with DD-WRT as it's rock solid and is what I've used on my Linksys WRT-54G for ages now!
I have been having trouble with my 670w the last few days.
I got it and flashed it this may, and it was working fine at the time, but I had to shelve the project until earlier this week.
After pulling it out again, I can't access anything except the emergency web server page on 192.168.1.10, and it doesn't seem to accept any firmware I attempt to upload.
Specifically it times out every time I attempt to connect to 192.168.1.1 to enter the webgui.
This is my first real foray into ddwrt, and the last few days have been rather frustrating me.

Spyndri - Sorry I can't be of any help as, although I've used DDWRT for years, I know little to nothing about fixing routers that are acting up with DDWRT installs as mine have, luckily, always gone smoothly
Just thought I would post and pass along to anybody using this router that there is another firmware update in the works for it. It is in testing and can be found here:
I've not personally tested it on my router yet as I haven't had a chance, but I am hoping I can do so in the next few days and I am hoping it resolves the WiFi issues that many of us have been having!
I tried r18777/19519/20086/20119 but wifi did not work at all in any, could not scan and no devices could see router. Tried a 30/30/30 after each but I ended up having to drop back to 16214 which seems to be working so far.

Thanks for the update Bigzdog. I haven't had a chance to try the newer versions, but at least I know now which OLDER versions still work. I wonder why the updates since 16214 have caused the WiFi to stop working correctly on this router...?
