Hello All!
I am trying to install DD-WRT on my Actiontec MI424WR Rev C following the instuctions on this page.
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/MI424WR

I am stuck after flashing redboot. I am not able to telnet to port 9000 after flashing redboot. I downloaded the redboot from the link mentioned in the instructions page. Is there a newer version I need to use?

I have tried both LAN and WAN ports after flashing..but just cant get the 9000 port.

The power button is green and WAN ethernet is blinking green. The router also sets the internet light to amber but I can't even ping 192.168.1.1 when plugged into WAN port. I would really appreciate any help you guys can offer. Thanks in advance.

Yes rebooted multiple times...I also reset it to factory settings and reflashed... still stuck at the same point.

reflash = reinstalled redboot

Sash,
I don't see this particular output during reboot install which I see in the example output here
http://dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/MI424WR

Wireless_Broadband_Router.home - - [02/Feb/2011 00:56:23] "GET /rb-mi424wr-ROM.bin HTTP/1.1" 200 -

Does it imply something wrong with the redboot install?

I got it working after enabling/disabling WAN DHCP IP distribution. For some reasons, I wasn't able to connect to WAN port initially but enabling/disabling helped! I am still not sure what the issue was.

I was able to proceed after that and have a clean running environment configured in Client-Bridge mode.

Thanks all.

I'm having a similar problem, how did you return the actiontec to factory?

I tried using the redboot scripts, but keep keeping no route to host errors. Thanks
