Hi guys,
I have a really odd issue (at least I've never seen something like this)
I have a d-link dir 300 rev B (same as DIR 600) and it's flashed with dd-wrt v24 sp2.
The issue is as follows:
I have configured the router on my home's ISP connection that has dhcp assignment with MAC filtering that works just fine.
But, when I try to use the same router on another ISP, with static IP assignment, with no MAC filtering, the internet can't be accessed from the LAN but if I SSH to the router I can ping anything with no issues. When I try to ping from LAN, the DNS seems to work as I get the names of the sites translated to IP, but there is no response, not even from the ISP's DNSs servers nor anything else that is past the router.
I might be able to get a linksys with default firmware just to try it, but I doubt it has anything to do with the DD-WRT firmware.
Now my question is, can the ISP filter router usage somehow? Because they said they will limit somehow this.
Any thoughts on this issue? I tried to google it but I found only crap.
I have found that static IPs on a windows computer will block internet access. They need to be set up in the router to work easily. _________________ SIG:

Ok, maybe I expressed myself wrong there. The static IP binding is required for the internet to work. When I set up the router, the static assignment is done on router and I'll leave the DHCP to do its magic for the LAN.
Also, if I do static IP assignment on my ISP (which has DHCP also)everything works just fine, so must be something from that specific ISP.
And it seems that the DNS is resolving the names only when I set the router to act as a router not as a gateway, on the ISP with issues. On my ISP i have to use it as gateway otherwise it's not working.
