I recently upgraded to the full version for USB support.

Firmware Version
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (01/10/14) std - build 23320

Kernel Version
Linux 3.12.7 #160 Fri Jan 10 08:24:42 CET 2014 i686

I went in to the GUI to enable USB Core support and USB storage support and auto drive mount.

The thumbdrive I inserted is not showing up on that screen, the USB GUI screen.

I have rebooted the machine, reflashed the image, unplugged and replugged the device. Nadda...

The drive has a light on it when the machine boots but as soon as DD-WRT begins to load the light goes out and stays out.

telling me more informations about your x86 device? i mean you see in the error log that there was a error while initializing the ehci driver which is reponsible for usb. this can be caused by a bad bios setting or whatever. but i dont know the usb chip on your device. so i need more details

Here is the link to the motherboard:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00496280&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=&product=1831241

I don't recall which chipset is responsible for USB so here are both. (unless it has an external chipset...)
•Northbridge: RS482
•Southbridge: SB400

I am out of my element here, so anything you need, please ask and I will provide.

Thank you,

Of course... this particular motherboard is HP specific and they have a windows flash utility as the only method of updating the BIOS. I don't have a spare windows image laying around to toss in to update... I am working on a few workarounds however.

I am on version 3.13 of the BIOS. I am trying to upgrade to version 3.15. 3.15 doesn't do much but 3.14 actually has a host of updates for USB so I would bet this is my issue... I'll keep trying to update the BIOS and post back with results.

I guess I'll pass on this... I cannot find a BIOS updater for this particular machine. HP/Compaq have taken down, or more likely I cannot find, the most recent BIOS for this 6 year old machine... I'll find another way to accomplish my goal.

Thanks for the help however.
