Apparently it does.

OpenWrt 12.09 "attitude_adjustment" fixed the Atheros wifi crashing.

Last week, I switched my T-Plink WDR3600 AR9344 from DD-WRT r22118 to OpenWrt 12.09.

Works great for a week now. I don't see anymore:
dmesg | tail 1
<3>[32341.240000] ath: phy0: Failed to stop TX DMA, queues=0x104!

Thanks

Those changes were just signed off two weeks ago. A.A. was much earlier.

I'm frustrated that dd-wrt is not as active as openwrt when it comes to patching ath9k.

i flashed my WRZ-300HP router with the current beta today
used my desktop a while came back to my laptop and could not connect to the router, went back to my desktop and went to the wireless page and hit apply thinking it would restart the wireless service which worked, i found this in the dmesg output
Code:
ath: phy0: Failed to stop TX DMA, queues=0x004!

that is this issue right?
Did some reading and this should be fixed in the 3.11 kernel
my router has 3.10.3
read above this is fixed in openwrt, how long till patches in openwrt make into dd-wrt?

r23720 uses kernel 3.14

Does this solve the dropout issues?

See, for example, this http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-wireless/msg120100.html

I don't have dropouts on 23720. No more error message in dmesg. Seems very stable for me. Kernel is 3.5.7 on my unit 841ndv3. I tried various wifi settings but can't reproduce errors that I had before, such as ath: phy0: Failed to stop TX DMA, queues=0x004!. The only thing I saw that is new for my unit is IGMP Snooping in the Networking tab\Bridging. We will se in few days. Thank you devs, very much.

the title of this discussion is: "Atheros 11n (ath9k) wifi dropout's"
don't see anything relevant with title "Atheros 11n (ath9k) wifi dropout's" in your post?

Router Model: Buffalo WZR-HP-AG300H
Status: Works fine
Reset? Yes
Errors: No (no more wi-fi dropouts!)
Firmware: r23720

This is the first version since r21676 that works without wi-fi dropouts on my router.

I ran this build now on my WDR3600 v1, and it seems the wifi crash is fixed.

Before r23720 release few days ago, I tried OpenWRT Aptitute Adjustment 12.09 which is really great alternative for my router.
I've decided to buy another router just for running openWrt

The features such as package management optware modules are are streamline.

Thanks Laughing
