I have been using DD-WRT for a few years now, and I have had a great experience in the years. So far, I have bricked about 3 routers, and rescued one of them with TFTP. I'm new to the forums, so I'm not sure if this is where I should post this. Anyways, I currently Have the following:
DIR-825 b2 running r23838
F7D8302 running r23720 no wifi works, was dead when I got it.
WNDR3700 v1 running r23720 weak wifi, common issue.
WNDR4000 v1 running r23838
WRT54G v6 running r23720
WRT350N running r23720
I guess my contribution is letting you guys know whats been working for me. I picked up the WNDR4000 at goodwill for 5 bucks. After I flashed it with dd-wrt, and tried to update it wouldn't take. Googled it, found out mega got too big for 8mb flash. so I tried the new beta version on the 3.X kernel. I was worried, but I guess 5 bucks was worth the risk. It worked like a charm. The devs here are awesome, and whoever put the beta folder in the other downloads option is a god. |
