Thank you for the information.
Does this router have also an Repeater option?

Kind regards,
Thank you!

you want to disable the Router-capability? Or do you need a WLAN repeater?
I can configurate my wireless connections to:
AP mode
Client mode
Client bridge(routed)
Ad-Hoc
WDS Station
and WDS AP

Hi All,

Just small update, as Takato said, I also tried with below latest firmware and seems things are working in TP Link WDR 4900v1 and no disconnection or reboot is needed for past 12 Hours....

Hi (English version below),

Welche Vorteile bietet eigentlich DD-WRT gegenüber OpenWrt?

Vielen Dank im Voraus!

Currenttly OpenWrt is installed on the WDR4900, because the connectivity was bad and not the one I suggested.

When I connect on the router being in the first-floor (router is on the ground-floor), I get disconnected. I see the router very well on the 1st and 2nd floor but on all floors, beside the ground-floor, I get disconnected from it. I don't try it on the 3rd floor, where the Fritz!Box 7270 still works!

There are no problems on the ground-floor! Just when I go upstairs! There is no connectivity on both channels, 2,4GHz & 5GHz, but I can connect to them to be thrown out of them immidietly.

Have you already faced such problems?
Maybe it's a bad product and should be replaced?
What about flashing from OpenWrt to DD-WRT? Do I just need to load factory-to-ddwrt.bin or should I restore it to factory default firmware before?
What are the advantages compared with the OpenWrt firmware?

Many thanks in advance,
Luke

http://uk.tp-link.com/products/details/?categoryid=&model=TL-WDR4900
http://www.tp-link.com/common/Subject/wireless/TL-WDR3600/?siteid=1 (unten)

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22341061/TL-WDR4900%20F-A.jpg
