E800 extremly common at walmart as this is linksys's intro router. Difference between E800/900 and E1200/1500 is the # of antenna's inside, most of them are near same processor and have 32mb ram with broadcom radios.
DD-WRT would definitely pimp out this router.. Factory firmware seems to cripple it a little... I have lots of friends use this device because of the price.
I just flashed this new build on my e800 to use it as a repeater but I cant make it work. (I am using DD-WRT step by step instructions to config it) any issues known? is there a different step for this router or it is not capable at all?
Thanks
It only has the e800 in the firmware name for the first flash. That is called the trailed build.
If you are already on dd-wrt you use a .bin firmware that has nv64k in the name since it is a 64k nvram router.
Also the e800 had 8mb flash, so you want to use one smaller than that. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

So the link you posted above is not the right file for me? I flashed the .bin file from the previous page to get on DDWRT from the stock firmware. I just notice that certain things are missing since it's a mini build.
On my N150... doesn't seem to broadcast SSID either... can anyone recommend a good build for this guy? _________________ Asus RT-N16 - DD-WRT v24-sp2 big - build 22118 (K3.x)
