This has certainly been discussed on here somewhere, but I can't find it! I tried to convert my old WRT54G, v 2, to use as a repeater. I had no problem at all installing the dd-wrt software, nor (so I thought) setting the repeater up. But when I try to connect to it, here's the issue: if I use the same name as my wireless network (which makes sense to me, as that's the host), my devices find it but can't connect. If I give the repeater its own network name, my devices can't find it at all. Where am I going wrong?

I reconfigured the repeater again. Now my wireless devices are all able to find it, and able to connect to it. The wireless signal is very strong, but...I cannot connect to the internet with it. I have to go back and connect to the host router to get onto the internet, so the repeater is of no use until I solve this problem. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
