Hello All,

I live in a city with a wireless cloud over it. Unfortunately this has various connectivity. I hate to pull my 1W alpha card from my backpack and try to repeatedly connect to the network, looking at how wicd couldnt associate or get an ip address while pulling my hair out.

I'm about to put together a backpack repeater which will take care of everything for me. This can be:

-access point with ddwrt
-raspberry pi with external antenna
etc.

My requirement is that I need 2 antennas (1 for connecting to the cloud 1 for retransmitting the signal for my laptop and cellphone). I looking for low power consuming hardware and some good lithium battery pack (if you could specify exact model number for the battery that would be great because im not an expert). I need the battery to last at least 24 hours but if it could do even more and not heavy, it's all the better.


Any advices are welcome!
